My sound card is not working!

Hi all i have a and just installed windows seven that i burned a whaile ago and the sound card does not work any sugestions?

It may be a driver issue. Have a look in Device Manager and see if there are any exclamation marks in the device properties.

So is your DVD drive working? If so, what did you do to fix it?

You most likely need drivers. If Windows Update doesn't offer them then you should check the soundcard manufacturer's site for a compatible driver, if you don't know where to find it then post the sound card info here. You can use Unknown Devices which will show you any devices and their info if they're missing their drivers. I've never tested it on 7, but it works fine on Vista so it should be compatible.

Is there any software check the mainboard? My computer often shutdown, I don't know is mainboard problem?
