I have real-time protection through Norton Anti-Virus and a free version of Malware Bytes. Before I run MB, I always check for updates. For the last 2 mos. when I run MB on a weekly basis, MB is not finding any issues which makes me a little suspicious. When I go into the Norton history log, it indicates that it's blocking unauthorized access. MB runs w/o a problem, but I'm wondering if North AV could be blocking or disabling it from finding additional malware, etc. Thanks.

Well I would guess that since Norton already caught your infection in real-time protection and has already guaranteed it, then MBAM has nothing to detect. If you were running the paid version of MBAM with real-time protection as well, one or the other would be catching those infections.
Its a good idea to run both and it would give you layered protection.

If Norton is doing it's job and you are using the Web relatively safely, MBAM shouldn't find anything. I've been running Norton 360 (essentially an automated version of NIS 2009) and Malwarebytes paid (active protection on) together for some time without issues.
