Please make sure that your firewall is set to allow mbam.exe to access the Internet, and that Internet Explorer is not set to "Work Offline".

And if you go here: http://www.malwareby...showtopic=10138 and drop down to number 15 there may be a fix there that will work for you. Have you already tried that?

Is Internet Explorer set to ONLINE mode?
We use the settings from IE even if you're browser is Firefox, Opera, etc.. If you don't have IE set to online and no proxies set and firewall not blocking then it should update.
Check your Event Logs, check other program logs and make sure they're not blocking MBAM.

That is the problem. You're missing REGSVR32 and you need to get a copy of it from another system running the same Service Pack level you're running.
That will take care of it.
Or the program is not installed. Look in that folder and verify that all the MBAM files are there.
Reconfigure Windows XP to show hidden files:
To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:
* Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
* Double-click on the My Computer icon.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* After the new window appears select the View tab.
* Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
* Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
* Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
* Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
* Press the Apply button and then the OK button and exit My Computer.
* Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.
That will take care of it.

If you get an error that REGSVR32 "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file", then ensure that the file REGSVR32.EXE exists in the %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32 folder. If it's not found there you can copy if from another Computer running the same operating system and service pack level.
Or the program is not installed. Look in that folder and verify that all the MBAM files are there.

I don't think you have the file? I ran all the code tests or commands that AdvancedSetup posted above. Until he gets back, I would review his post # 13 again... and see if you can grab a copy, as he instructed...
