Weird issue. It may have happened to me as well but I'll have to check as I usually keep my speakers turned off. Thanks for letting us know how it worked out :) .

sometimes if you update your sound card drive from windows update it does that, I usually do not update my drivers from there, I go to the manufactures web site for driver updates.

I do the same, except I always grab the latest one from MajorGeeks since Realtek's site is brutally slow (based in Taiwan I think).

They do :) . They get them directly from the manufacturer's website, update them the same day as the manufacturer and offer the manufacturer's site as one of the links to download the file, but for Realtek I use MajorGeeks servers since the Realtek servers are so slow for me (as previously mentioned).

You're welcome :) . Their lates downloads section is handy, but I use the direct link to the download page on their site as they update it whenever a new version is released :) .

Hi Firefox,

go to the homepage; you'll find two very long lists (in alphabetical order on the right and left of that page in a perfectly horrible shade of sun-kissed mud).

Click on "Drivers" in the left-hand list and there you go. :)
