i am connected to the internet, other program can update

I found other users with similar issues recently due to overloaded Avira servers. I submit the following links from Avira's website for your review. I hope you find them useful:

I'd recommend you attempt updating manually as instructed here to see if the errors still happen with future updates. If they do then I'd recommend contacting Avira support via their forum located here.

hi, thank you.

i tried downloading it manually as you said but this error popped up it says

documents and settings\abet\my documents\downloads\ivdf_fusebundle_nt_en.zip.part could not be saves, because the source file could not be read. try again later or contact the server administrator.

i tried again but this error popped again. is this gonna be a problem? thanks again.

you are probably just going to have to wait for the servers to settle down. I know Avira is aware of the issues with their "free" servers and it has a lot of users upset. Supposedly they are going to do something about it. We shall see ;)

PS. There is a big update that was released today.

I got at least 1 or 2 files in the last 24 hrs - But you may recall I had a similar slow problem a few weeks ago -

After 2 days I just set it for manual and let it find its own way for an hour - They came through after that -
Just another private helper - (not a company man) -
When you don't have to worry about your computer anymore, you can start living again !

There still seems to be a glitch in Avira updates - I have been trying to update after a system restore (did not do a backup) and I am having troubles with manual updates now -
I let it run for 1 hour and got no response so I will try again in 4-5 hours -
There was not even a download 'quantity' in the update area - ;)
Must be a big update on the way or a lack of response at the moment -
Unfortunately I think I deleted the last update with the restore - It ran a manual scan ok, so I will just wait for a while -

EDIT -
After leaving it for a while I am now getting the updates (even though the rate is "very" slow -
Just another private helper - (not a company man) -
When you don't have to worry about your computer anymore, you can start living again !

i received my updates as well. Just have to let it sit there for a while. Mine took about 25min. Although it might be quicker by now :D
