Our work laptop has had an issue with Google being redirected to random websites different than what we want. Our home computer had the hijack.windowsupdate which your administrators helped us fix. Our laptop had the same malware at one point in time but after running MBAM and removing...it appeared to be removed (unlike on our home computer). Neither MBAM nor McAfee have detected any issues since...but we have had the issue with the redirects. After doing a normal shutdwn of the laptop last night and trying to turn on again this morning, we got the blue screen of death. We took it to MicroCenter and they told us all of our files were still there and to download a Hiren's Boot CD and try to boot in "mini XP" to get to our files before reformatting the computer...however, when you try to download a "bootable CD" from Hiren's, it does not work.
After the black screen saying windows could not start normally, we get the blue screen with error # 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805BA6EC, 0xf88952B8, oxF88941FB4). Any thoughts/help???
Thanks for anything!!!
