My girlfriend was on facebook today and clicked on an inbox message and it happened to be a virus. My computer got infected with the alpha antivirus, security tool, and regtool. Thankfully for malwarebytes, i was able to get rid of alpha and security tool. However, malwarebytes didn't seem to recognize regtool. So i decided to uninstall regtool myself. Now i'm just wondering if my computer's really safe because I know sometimes these viruses hide themselves in other files on the computer. Should i do anything as a precaution still? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

Sorry for the double post, but I just added spyware doctor to see if it could detect anything and it did find some regtool files still. Should i be concerned?

If you are unsure, the best thing to do is to go to this link (http://www.malwareby...?showtopic=9573) and carefully follow the directions there which include updating Malwarebytes, running an MBAM scan, downloading and running HijackThis, and posting both scan results to the HijackThis forum. They will help you there. It may take them some time to get to you.

Good, remember to post in the HijackThis forum on this site rather than here (the General Forum).
