On a recommendation I downloaded the Free MWB Anti-Malware, but I'm not very impressed as the program Freezes up on scanning some files:

Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Support\Silent Hunter 4 Manual.pdf

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear sky, Walkthrough_01.txt

Zone Labs\Zone Alarm\Repair\vsutil.dll

The program just stops running when it gets to these files and all you can do is close it in the Task Manager which also reports it as Not Running.

Any Ideas what's happening?????

Add the following files to the exclusions list in your anti-virus software:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbam.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

According to the Help Files in Anti-Malware the only way to add files to the ignore list is to run a scan and then use "Show Results" and pick them from the list shown. This is impossible to do when you CAN NOT complete a full scan and the program is frozen up because it locked up on one of the above files. So unless there is ANOTHER WAY to add these files to the ignore list your directions WILL NOT WORK in Anti-Malware.

You need to add them to your ant-virus software not malwarebytes exclusion list.

Yes, exactly. The exclusions need to be added to anti-virus software to keep it from interfering with our software.
