My computer keeps crashing so I have checked the device manager. It tells me that I have an error with the "nicsk32".
I have searched around and as far as I can tell it should be disabled but I am concerned as I dont know what it is. As far as I can tell it is a malware problem.
Can anyone advise me please?

Please follow these instructions (skipping any steps you are unable to complete) for posting in our Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs forum. If you cannot follow any of those steps, then please create a new topic in that forum explaining what happened when you tried to run each of the tools in the instructions, and the expert who helps you will be able to suggest steps to take to get the tools working.

Assuming the exact filename is nicsk32.sys then Previx says it's a rootkit, Sophos says it's a trojan, and ThreatExpert says it's always malicious.
