I found a closed thread from about a year ago stating the detection of "backdoor.bot" in msconfig was a definite false positive - here. I've been running MBAM for almost a year now, running nightly scans and updates, but have never seen this before today. It looks like my db updated to version 3091 this morning, then the quick scan ran, and when I came in at 8 I saw the backdoor.bot detection. Can we tell if this is still a false positive, or is this something I need to worry about?
