When I start MalwearBytes AntiMalwear a pop-up box appears that reads the following;
[Create Service] Failed to preform desired action. Error Code: 1073
Does anyone know how to deal with this error?

Greetings and welcome
Please follow the instructions for #7 of the FAQ located here to see if that corrects it.
If not then please create a batch file:
Once it completes you will find a file named SysPart.txt on your desktop. Please copy and paste its contents into your next reply.
Please let me know how it goes.
Thanks

If not then please create a batch file:
- Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor):
reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup" /v SystemPartition>"%userprofile%\desktop\SysPart.txt"
- Once you've done that click on File and select Save As...
- In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files
- Name the file Check.bat (the .bat extension is very important)
- Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it.
Once it completes you will find a file named SysPart.txt on your desktop. Please copy and paste its contents into your next reply.
Please let me know how it goes.

OK. Here are the contents of the file;
! REG.EXE VERSION 3.0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup
SystemPartition REG_SZ \Device\Harddisk0\DP(1)0x7e00-0x32e53fc00+1
(I'm not sure how this will help though..?)
