Last Friday, my computer was infected by a pretty nasty rogue spyware trojan. Fortunately, I've dealt with them before, so I quickly removed it with Malwarebytes, or so I thought. The pop-ups and notices have ceased, and when I scan using Malwarebytes, SpyBot, and AVG everything comes up perfect. However, when I try to use IE, if I click on a link or open a page outside of google search it looks like something is trying to redirect me but is blocked. Then AVG pops up saying "Threat Detected! Exploit Rogue spyware scanner (type 518)". If I hit back and click the link again, usually it will go through fine, but this is incredibly annoying and makes working very slow. Also, I worry that there is something much worse going on that Malwarebytes and my other anti-virus/spyware programs aren't detecting.
