when i try to open malwarebytes windows is telling me it cannot find it. i have removed and reoaded it and it worked briefly and did the same thing again. it will run the scan while the disc is in. this all did happen after computer was infected and cleaned by malewarebytes in safe mode.

It sounds like you are still infected. For future reference, MBAM should only be run in safe mode if absolutely necessary. It works best in normal mode with all drivers and services loaded. You can try this to see if it helps. Otherwise, please see below.
