Everytime I run malwarebytes' it removes everything, but one file(winhelper86.dll) and says it needs to reboot in order to get rid of it. After the computer reboots the file is still there and after an hour (whether I'm doing another scan or not) Advanced Virus Remover is put back on my computer. I've tried to use Task Manager and Windows Command Prompt to delete the file, but it's disabled both of them.

Hello sa130997 and welcome to the forums here at MalwareBytes.

You do not have the latest database version of MBAM. Can you run MBAM again, making sure to update before running it, then post the log.

Could you also do the following.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    • DDS.txt
    • Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
