Greetings Chaos :)

Please do the following to see if it corrects the issue:

Verify Your Internet Connection Settings:

  • Open Internet Explorer
    • Note: It MUST be Internet Explorer, not Firefox, Opera, Chrome or any other internet browser

[*]Click on Tools at the top and select Internet Options

    • Note: If you do not see Tools, press the Alt key on your keyboard and it will show up

    [*]Click on the Connections tab

[*]Click on the LAN settings button

[*]Under Automatic configuration make sure that the box next to Automatically detect settings is checked, if it is not, then click the box next to it to check it

[*]Under Proxy server make sure that the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections). is not checked and if it is, click the box next to it to uncheck it

[*]Click on the OK button to close the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window

[*]Click on the OK button to close the Internet Options window

[*]Try updating Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again to see if it now works correctly

Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks :)

Hello again :)

Please do the following so I can check a few settings on your system:

  • Please copy and paste the following text exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor):
    @echo off
    reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v GlobalUserOffline>"%userprofile%\desktop\check.txt"
    reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v ProxyEnable>>"%userprofile%\desktop\check.txt"
    reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections" /v DefaultConnectionSettings>>"%userprofile%\desktop\check.txt"
    "%userprofile%\desktop\check.txt"
    del /f /q "%userprofile%\desktop\check.txt"
    del /f /q %0

Once you've done that click on File and select Save As...

  • In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files
  • Name the file Check.bat (the .bat extension is very important)
  • Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it.
  • Once it finishes it will open the file it created in notepad, please copy and paste the file's contents into your next reply.

Thanks :)

Everything looks perfect for your settings.

Please do the following:

Create an Autoruns Log:

  • Please download Sysinternals Autoruns from here.
  • Save Autoruns.exe to your desktop and double-click it to run it.
  • Once it starts, please press the Esc key on your keyboard.
  • Now that scanning is stopped, click on the Options button at the top of the program and select Verify Code Signatures
  • Once that's done press the F5 key on your keyboard, this will start the scan again, this time let it finish.
  • When it's finished, please click on the File button at the top of the program and select Save and save the Autoruns.arn file to your desktop and close Autoruns.
  • Right click on the Autoruns.arn file on your desktop and hover your mouse over Send To and select Compressed (zipped) Folder
  • Attach the Autoruns.zip folder you just created to your next reply

Thanks :)

Thanks :)

Please right-click on the K Kaspersky icon in your task tray and select Pause protection... and when the prompt pops up, select the third option Pause. Then temporarily turn the Windows Firewall off then try updating Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again. Regardless of whether it works or not, go ahead and re-enable Kaspersky and the Windows Firewall.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks :)
