exile360 Posted March 9, 2010 ID:212093 Share Posted March 9, 2010 Greetings Chaos Please do the following to see if it corrects the issue:Verify Your Internet Connection Settings:Open Internet Explorer Note: It MUST be Internet Explorer, not Firefox, Opera, Chrome or any other internet browser[*]Click on Tools at the top and select Internet Options Note: If you do not see Tools, press the Alt key on your keyboard and it will show up[*]Click on the Connections tab[*]Click on the LAN settings button[*]Under Automatic configuration make sure that the box next to Automatically detect settings is checked, if it is not, then click the box next to it to check it[*]Under Proxy server make sure that the box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections). is not checked and if it is, click the box next to it to uncheck it[*]Click on the OK button to close the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window[*]Click on the OK button to close the Internet Options window[*]Try updating Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again to see if it now works correctlyPlease let me know how it goes.Thanks Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

exile360 Posted March 9, 2010 ID:212123 Share Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks Everything looks perfect for your settings.Please do the following:Create an Autoruns Log:Please download Sysinternals Autoruns from here.Save Autoruns.exe to your desktop and double-click it to run it.Once it starts, please press the Esc key on your keyboard.Now that scanning is stopped, click on the Options button at the top of the program and select Verify Code SignaturesOnce that's done press the F5 key on your keyboard, this will start the scan again, this time let it finish.When it's finished, please click on the File button at the top of the program and select Save and save the Autoruns.arn file to your desktop and close Autoruns.Right click on the Autoruns.arn file on your desktop and hover your mouse over Send To and select Compressed (zipped) FolderAttach the Autoruns.zip folder you just created to your next replyThanks Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Then temporarily turn the Windows Firewall off then try updating Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again.
