Hello!
I reboted after installing the beta, I did uninstall it, and followed the instructions you gave me in the e-mail. Anyway, at the startup I experienced a sloooow startup. Is the Malwarebytes' the cause of that? (I realize that this is a beta, and I participated on my own risk, etc.) I managed to check the task manager and see how much of the ram and how much ram it was taking. It was up to 50 000 kB, but when it came back to normal, it falled down to 25 000 kB. The computer didn't respond at all for a while, and I had to wait for 2 minutes before any of the programs was opening. I had especially trouble with Mozilla Firefox. It wasn't responding for 4 minutes, at least.
My startup takes, normally, 40 seconds. I'm running Windows Seven 64-bit, with 4 GB ram and a 3,06 ghz processor. The startup shouldn't go for that long.
As I said before, I know this is a beta, and it will most likely be fixed in the official version. I liked the flashscann. It went well and smooth. I absolutely love the program. You are the best!
Thanks for giving me the chance to test the beta, really appreciated!

Well, I have much less RAM than you do, have been running the beta for about a week and a half now, and I have had fairly fast startups
Might there be something else at play here?
As a side note, please use the ADD REPLY button at the bottom of the page when replying.

For me it takes about 5 seconds. I do think it should start-up faster though.

I just found out that it wasn't MBAM's foult. Pando Media Booster has been installed on my computer, remotely. Even Malwarebytes' doesn't detect it. I'm uninstalling it, but it reinstall itself all the time. I've tried to uncheck it at msconfig-startup, but it will just recheck itself. I have no chance to delete it.
I'm running a full scan now, in hope that mbam will detect it. Even Threatfire (behaviour blocker) didn't detect its behaviour. Strange. (PS: I'm too lazy to do the malware removal instruction thingy.. It's too much instructions, etc. I'm a bit lazy. Therefore, I'm not asking for help. Of course I would be glad if you could help me..

Esetisthebest,
oh!
So unwanted software is being installed onto your computer? You should turn off Remote Assistance first of all if this keeps happening.
Also is this a work or a home machine.. if its at work that could explain it, they may want that program on there?
If its not actual malware and not a malicious program, AV and AM (antimalware) scans will not detect it. If you believe it to actually be malicious, please report it here: http://forums.malwar...hp?showforum=51

Pando Media Booster isn't malware and you should be able to simply uninstall it through Programs and Features. I believe it may come bundled with some games and other applications so that could be how it got installed.

Is it advisable to turn off remote assistance? I have been told not to turn it off, even though my computer is only a home computer and not part of a network.

@ byte_king
I turn off Remote Assistance as it is an un-necessary Service that I would not want any malware to have access to if perchance it ever did get on my system.

Byte_king,
I would only turn it on if you need to use it. I have it turned off on my machine.

Great
If you ever do have a friend or someone work remotely on your machine, you can turn it back on of course to allow the desired help session.

Just installed and ran without a hitch. In fact I believe the scan ran much faster than in the past.
