That generally means that one or more of MBAM's files isn't registered properly or it's missing one of its runtime dependencies:
For 32 Bit Versions of Windows:
For 64 Bit Versions of Windows:
If that doesn't fix it then please download and install the Service Pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0 from here to see if it helps.
For 32 Bit Versions of Windows:
- Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor):
regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll" regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll" regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx"
- Once you've done that click on File and select Save As...
- In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files
- Name the file MBAM Fix.bat (the .bat extension is very important)
- Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it on XP. For Vista please right click on it and choose Run As Administrator
- Click OK to each of the 3 dialog boxes that should show a success message for each file registered
- If you get an error that REGSVR32 "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file", then ensure that the file REGSVR32.EXE exists in the %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32 folder. If it's not found there you can copy if from another Computer running the same operating system and service pack level.
For 64 Bit Versions of Windows:
- Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor):
regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll" regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll" regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx"

Error message
Box title RegSvr32
Main text
The module "C\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malare\mbamext.dll" failed to load
Make sure the binary is stored at the specific path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependant .DLL files
The specified module could not be found
For your information the beta version installed OK on our machine in normal mode.
We then uninstalled and rebooted.
We then installed successfully in safemode but when trying to run in normal mode then this problem occurred.
We could probably fix it by removing the installation, rebooting and reinstalling but we have left it like this in case there is a problem that the developers need to investigate.
I am also appealing to the other beta testers - have you observed this when installing in safemode or is it just us?
