Yes, I was referring to what Mona had said (that's why I quoted her
). She was referring to the Flash scan after update option.

Exile, I've set it to run again per your request.

15:40:00 Mona MESSAGE Scheduled scan executed successfully
Still no log to be found in both folders.
I think I might have used the wrong terminology : what I meant was :
When you open MBAM on your desktop and run a flash scan manually, a log is produced and saved.
It's only when you have a flash scan scheduled (i.e. after an update and as you asked to run one) you know it ran but no log is produced.

Thanks a lot Mona, this confirms what I found as well, in Windows XP, any scheduled scans run under the System account are not creating logs.
Thanks again to everyone for testing and helping us work out the bugs, it is greatly appreciated.

..Hmm...just done an on-demand flash scan (from MBAM's gui) and I can't find the log which had been displayed automatically) anywhere. It isn't in C:\ProgramData\...Logs or C:\Windows\...\systemprofile\...Roaming\...Logs.
[Vista 32-bit]
Mind you that was with the Save logfile regardless of user settings, the penultimate option, unticked in the Scheduler's gui.
I'd have thought this shouldn't make any difference but I'm wondering where the logfile should've been / is saved to.

Just to add to the previous posts : I took a picture of an update and the flash scan; it just disappears after running (I mean you don't get a pop up from notepad with the results of the scan) :

Exile,
Would it still be any help at all for me to test this or has the issue already been tested/confirmed sufficiently?

Mine worked fine on Windows 7, the log file is there...though I had to click add after your steps to add the scan to the scheduler.

For those of you with the Paid version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:
Please test the following scheduler configurations:
Set the time of the scan to occur sometime in the near future so you don't have to wait too long.
Once the scan completes, please check the following location to see if a log has been created there:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs
Please post back with your findings.
Thanks

This issue has been corrected in the latest beta. The logs will now be found in the same location as the Protection Logs:
Windows XP:
Windows Vista and Windows 7:
The latest beta can be downloaded here.
Don't forget, uninstall through Add/Remove Programs/Programs and Features, reboot your computer, then run mbam-clean.exe, reboot again, then install the new beta.
Thanks

Hi,
Windows 7 64 bit (Italian) here
While I cannot find any logs here

I can find only protection log in programdata

and I performed a scheduled update and a scheduled flash scan as per directions
Does it mean I have to download and install the MBAM beta posted above maybe?
(for you info: I already use the pubblic beta, I do not know if the above mentioned link brings to a new build)
Thank you in advance
[EDIT to add] Sorry, I have downloaded the above mentioned beta and I discovered it is a little bit different from the prevoius pubblic beta.
I'm going to install it

The Flash scans that run after updating do not create logs, the issue was about scheduled scans that are set to run silently from the system account not creating logs and it has now been corrected.

No problems with installing the latest beta, registering and enabling protection/IP protection.
Ran a flash scan as requested by Exile and it can now be found in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs"
If you want any more tests to be done, please let me know.
