Thought I'd bring this up and see if you all think it should be pinned to the top. :)

If not, feel free to delete this topic....BTW I'm sure the Title and description can be edited to better suit it's purposes. :)

Wouldn't have known about updated beta build unless I'd found posting in "Please test this" thread (ran test several times on 1st build on W7-32bit, no
logs found as requested).
Agree with you njustice that perhaps a few important links should be "pinned", e.g. Mbam-clean.exe, and e.g. New beta build (any other suggestions?),
to enable their easy&fast location.Received no e-mail about new build.
Also, sorry that this is OT for this thread, but I ran into a problem running mbam-clean.exe in that I'm getting error: "SHGetValue error code0". Is it possible I've been mistakenly trying to use
version for XP or something? Why should this happen, please?
Thanks,
Dermot.

Greetings,

If you signed up and were on the mailing list for the public beta, the clean instructions were included as part of the instructions.

We also have them pinned here as part of the Fixes for Common Issues, Questions, and Their Solutions FAQ. See Section A - Issue #7.

The "SHGetValue error code0" error you are getting is because the MBAM-CLEAN program can't find something it is looking for, most likely a missing file due to a partial manual deletion. I would recommend you re-install the main program without updates or scans and then retry the clean process. The clean process will also clean entries from the Windows registry.

Remember to perform the installation and clean removal from an an admin account and not a limited user account.

Thanks Jacktivity,
I didn't go back and read original e-mail & instructions- my fault! Thanks for your advice. I'll follow your instructions and report back.
Cheers,
Dermot.

Re-installed ok. Mbam-clean.exe ran fine. Seems like no issues now. Logs ok. Scans ok. Plain sailing now. Any more tests welcome.
