Hi,

I'm a new user of MBAM. I ran a scan with version 1.20 and it came up clean.

Later I noticed that Windows Defender had flagged something: It was asking if I would permit the file C:/windoes/system32/drivers/mbamcatchme.sys. I clicked 'Deny' just as a precaution and googled it but didn't find much that helped me.

Is it a false positive? Is it someting to be concerned about?

(I run regular scans with Adaware and Spybot as well as having Winpatrol and Spywareblaster installed.)

Thank you.

It is a false positive. mbamcatchme.sys is a driver we use for scanning. In the near future, we will no longer be using this driver.
