I contracted this nasty little bastard yesterday and so far, it's resisted all attempts at removal from a variety of Spyware tools, as well as Kaspersky. I've tried Windows Defender, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware. I've had the most success with Malwarebytes', which seems to detect and clean it, but only temporarily. After a reboot, but only when connected to the internet, the package gets reinstalled once again with a bunch of other garbage. Nothing has succeeded in permanently removing it. Kaspersky doesn't detect any threat from AntivirusXP2008, only the additional files that are downloaded after the malware has recovered itself. I'm also getting constant warning from Windows Firewall about additional trojans being added, but nothing seems to be detecting these either. I have no clue what that might mean.
Clearly something is being overlooked in the detection process and I was hoping someone here would have an idea about how to get this thing permanently removed, short of a system restore or reformatting.
