Getting run-time error '9' during attempts to run a quick scan using the latest version (1.24)
Fresh install on the machine
Any suggestions for a fix/workaround?

During what part of the scan does this happen? Can you please start unchecking some scan settings (memory, file, registry) and see which one is the culprit?

as soon as the scan starts, within just a few seconds. The system is obviously infected (Antivirus 2009 variant mainly, among others i'm sure...never let your users have admin privileges!)
I just tried scanning with only memory objects, only registry, etc. checked and it errors at the same point every time. With the same number of infected files detected. could it be an error caused by one of the infected files?
