Win7 trying to Remove Cyberdefender Early Detection Center

Recommended Posts

I am unable to use this computer, apparently infected with Cyberdefender...

The software: Cyberdefender Early Detection Center is still listed and can not be removed!

I have run Malwarebytes in safe mode and Cyberdefender is not found or identified as a infection. How can this be?

AdvancedSetup,

Since I am not receiving any assistance with this Win7 infection, in removing the CyberDefender Rouge Malware. Can I reverse the Defogger instruction without experiencing any problems?

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=56769

I do not know what to do, can't use the computer & need a great number of files. Guess it is time to clone the hard drive and strip the needed files with a Linux system to prevent another possible system infection from this cyberdefender, and then it will be right the time to set this useless new computer in the corner until Malwarebytes adds the Cyberdefender infection to its malware patterns some time in the future...

I want to thank you for the kind assistance I have received in the past, and I know at some point you will be able to help others with this malware... Thanks again, I just need to know about the defogger reversal for now...

Hello namida12

It takes at least 48 hours to receive assistance in the Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs section

Please be patient. If you do not receive a reply within 48 hours then you can PM a Moderator requesting assistance or still needing assistance

This is stated in I'm infected-What do I do now?

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or HERE

Hi -

Have you been keeping Malwarebytes updated every few days ??

You have had some other "similar problems" in the past and by now you should know to keep updating -

Version 4301 is the current update -

Just to add to Wide Glide You will get help very soon so just hang on a bit please as it has only just been 48 hours -

Thank You -

Hello,

First of all, Cyberdefender's Early Detection Center and Registry Cleaner programs are not rogue antiviruses or malware of any kind. Cyberdefender is a publicly traded company. You can read more about us in this article published in L. A. Business Journal:

I am sorry and beg to differ with your explanation and here are a few links also differing with your explination.

Cyberdefender is non removable, when any malware or anti-viral software finds it during the install and tries to inoculate or quarantine any portion of your drive by installs... Your software has angered thousands of computer users, with your method of install, and outrageous fees. A simple search of cyberdefender outside of the Bing search engine will find thousands of angry users that can not or have had trouble remove your software. Often time a reinstall of the operating system is the requirement to remove your software.
