Experts are mostly people with high knowledge of windows, computers etc and how they work.

Trusted Advisers are people trained for malware removal.

:P
So if I got training at one of the malware removal schools (which I'm trying to do; the guys at Geeks To Go didn't accept me for some reason :P ), I would become a Trusted Advisor?

Yep. But you can't help during your training. That is against the rules(at all schools). This can take months to a couple of years to finish. I'm on level 2 at Geekpolice and been enrolled since july.

Like GeeksToGo says, until you complete the training, you know only enough to be dangerous.

That is correct. Helping could become more disastrous then the malware themselves. The tools experts use if used incorrectly could permanently kill the computer or may never work correctly.

I think most (but not all) mods are employed by Malwarebytes, and most Experts are not (as far as I know) employed by Malwarebytes. Exile is an expert though and he works for Malwarebytes :P.

Now I do agree with that.:P Majority of mods are. A few aren't such as the above. :P

You become an expert by completing the training at one of the malware removal schools. Many of them are listed here.

Wow.. How did I wind up quote-replying to a November, 2010 post??

I wasn't paying attention and just jumped right in.. I guess I followed the thread too far back. *laugh*

I'm old, fragile and clueless; what can I say?

Gee Arthur -
Even I remember when you were part of the "Official MBAM Team". Wonder who you upset
I had a "bit of a - - with the Boss" about a year ago, but I was never near your ranking -
You must have done a "real bad" or quit - Still, I think it is nice to have you around :)
The program name is actually Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (or at least it was) ......... Right boss -
Just another private helper .......................... The answer is always 42, or Reboot
If you are waiting for an answer Press F5 ................. you may have one waiting for you ........

Alright, the part I still don't understand is some of the other titles like: Trusted Advisor, Translator, Spam Hunter, Malware Hunter, Software Updator, and Root Admin. I don't understand how to achieve any of these titles. If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated :)
