What can you guys tell me of antivir64?

I quick scaned with Malwarebytes 1.27 my computer and right to the end it seemed like it scaned the c:\Program Files\Antivir64 folder... The result was 0 threats and I also don't have this folder on my computer... Can you tell me if it was on my computer or Malwarebytes was just checking on that location to make sure it wasn't? I am really concerned if it was just a setting in Malwarebytes to check that location or the folder is there but I can't see it...

Thanks!

If you saw it scanning that folder, then it most likely is there. Have you enabled the viewing of hidden files?

I have enabled view hidden files and i also searched for "antivir64" in both windows and total commander... I also looked into regedit and there is no entry of antivir64... I looked into the link you sent but i don't have that symptoms, the program doesn't appear...

The thing is that i saw Malwarebytes looked like scanning for c:\Program Files\Antivir64 just before the end and I thought that it was a command inside Malwarebytes to look for that folder... Moreover, if Antivir64 was there Malwarebytes should have recognize it, right?

I am puzzled!

I dont think its there as this rogue has no abilities to hide or protect itself .

If it was there MBAM would likely not even need a reboot ot kill it .

Thanks nosirrah, but can you tell me if MBAM is set to search this folder (c:\Program Files\Antivir64") right to the end of the quick scan process to see if it is there? Because I can't figure out a different reason for seeing that folder being scaned or even appeared there if it wasn't there in the first place...
