framboos,

Please uninstall the current version you have installed, restart your computer (very important), and install version 1.30 from here.

The reason we require a reboot is to overwrite in use protection module files :).

Do you have Kaspersky antivirus? If so, please update your definitions for it and try updating to v1.30 again.

Have never installed Kaspersky AV, any other ideas please? (I use F-PROT in this snaphot, Rising in another and AVG 7.5 in another.)

You can install version 1.30 manually from Download.com. Or, try starting Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware as administrator (even though you are an admin).
