Blocking torrent ports

The easiest thing to do would be to temporarily disable it while doing torrents. One has to realize though that many of the links are blocked because they are potentially dangerous to your system and you're taking the risk of infecting your computer by sharing files with an unknown source via torrents.

Many downloads if they are infected can often be cleaned up with some work but if you were to get an infection like Virut you might end up having to FDISK, FORMAT and re-install Windows.

Best advise if you really must use torrents is to make sure you have good backups of all of your important data. Keep your Anti-Virus updated and keep the file Protection Module of MBAM updated and running as well. Then turn the Web blocker off temporarily which would be safer if you're not browsing and just doing the torrents.
