Hello and welcome, btex:
Sorry you are having updating issues with MBAM.
However, as a courtesy to the OP and to avoid confusion, it would be best if you would please start your own topic thread (and/or ask that a moderator split your thread to a new one).
That way, your post will likely receive the attention it deserves.
When you do, please include some of the basic system info Firefox requested of the OP in post #4 here:
* OS version including 32/64-bit
* Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall and Program Versions
* MBAM version (current 1.50.1.1100) (Free or Pro)
* Definition version (current 5655)
* Do you use a router to connect to Internet
* Are you showing any signs of an infection
* How much RAM is installed
There are many possible reasons for updating issues.
Most, if not all, are easily resolved with a bit of technical troubleshooting.
The experts need a bit of basic info to better assist you more expeditiously.
((Also, FWIW, just to clarify, MBAM is NOT an "anti-virus", but rather a unique standalone anti-MALWARE program designed to complement, but not to replace your computer's AV program (or firewall).))
Thank you very much,
