My GF and daughter informed me that the desktop PC was running very slow. So, I did what I knew how to do, scan w/Malwarebytes, update Spywareblaster etc. After a reboot, I saw a few "new" things starting up. I ran "MSCONFIG" and found these two things....

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Currentversion\windows....(There are 2 squares here, I don't know how to make that happen so I'm explaining) : Run

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Currentversion\windows....(There are 2 squares here, I don't know how to make that happen so I'm explaining) : Load

If I disabled them, they would still return. So I probably shouldn't have, but I went to the registry and deleted both. The machine seems to be fine, so far. I haven't sat back down to take a look at it since Friday, but no complaints about speed or anything that would interest them.

My question is, what was that? Was it malicious?

Thanks for any help.
