I am not sure what is going on, but I have been using malwarebytes with my Iolo anti virus products for quite some time without an issue. Now today, I am trying to upgrade and Iolo stops the process and flags the following file as a detected virus W32/FakeAV2008.EJ. Thought I would unistal Malwarebytes and attempt fresh install and now get this message, Can not copy mbam-setup[1] access denied. This is recent as of today and occurs on both my desktop and laptop PC. Is it safe for me to disable Iolo and attempt again? I am thinking that this is a false positive from Iolo, but I don't want to take any chances. thank you.

Hi Terry, yes it's a false positive on Iolo's part. Please select ignore/allow and the installation should proceed smoothly.
Kaspersky antivirus is currently FP's on our installation program as well.

I can not see how to select ignore/allow in Iolo anti virus. Do you know how to do this? Thank you.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any info on their site whatsoever on reporting a false positive, but I did find info on opening a support ticket, which would allow you to report it to them so they can hopefully fix it: http://www.iolo.com/...calsupport.aspx You have to be an iolo customer, otherwise I would have reported it myself. I hope I was helpful, good luck and safe surfing.

Excellent, you are doing all the users and developers of MBAM a service and I appreciate it, so thank you.
If you need any assistance with anything else please let us know.
