Hello,
when trying to install Malwarebytes I keep getting
Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted. Error 5: Access is denied.
message.
Can someone please tell me what is going wrong and how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Greetings and welcome to the forum. What version of Windows are you running and are you logged in as an administrator?

I'm running Windows XP SP3 and yes, I'm logged in as administrator.
Btw I googled a bit and found someone having same problem as me here

I suspect it has to do with folder permissions, but unfortunately I don't know which Temp directory MBAM stores it's setup files during installation. My best GUESS would be under C:\Documents and Settings\(Username)\Local Settings\Temp. Navigate to this folder and right click on it and click properties. If you're running XP Pro you should see a Security tab, click it and make sure Administrators have full control. It should have all of the check boxes filled in and they should appear to be greyed out, if they aren't, then check the box that says Full Control and try installing again.
