What is the difference between MalwareBytes.exe and mbam-setup.exe? I have downloaded both of them and the first has 1,774,000 bytes and the latter has 5,738,016 bytes?

I downloaded these after reading about the Antivirus 2009 problem as I have recently started getting Antivirus 2009 popups and saw that MalwareBytes.exe was recommended for clearing up the problem.

I downloaded mbam-setup.exe and installed it before finding MalwareBytes.exe for download also. Is one a full install and the other a standalone executable?

Do they both do the same? If not, which is recommended? I searched for differences on this site, but could not find any threads which looked like an answer.

Make sure you download any software from safe sources. The best place to download MBAM is here:

To ensure you have the newest version delete the version you have and install from above download.
