i finally got rid of fraud.antivirusxp and the computer is running fine and im not getting any problems, but malwarebytes still finds a couple bad registry entries and i'd like to get rid of them, but it always reappears.

Just some info for whoever takes this thread ....

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit (Trojan.Agent) -> Data: c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit (Trojan.Agent) -> Data: system32\userinit.exe -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.


^^^This happens when MBAM hits a patched Microsoft file and protects the operating system by preventing the patched file from being damaged or removed .

Userinit.exe needs to be replaced with a clean copy in this case to resolve this issue .
