[DeleriousAnxiety]

Hi i am trying to remove all malware and viruses from my computer. It originally was loaded with probably of 80 viruses and malware. I cleaned it up with malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, and Spybot S&D. The viruses have seem to disable my ehternet and wireless connections. I fixed the wireless but then more viruses were loaded. So i went through the whole process of removing them once again. Malwarebytes keeps saying there is in two files a trojan.Agent in my userinit.exe. I can post my malwarebytes log and hijackthis log but since i cannot access the internet without my computer loading back up with a mass amount of viruses and then freezing up.

Before you replied back to my message I found a way to replace the userinit.exe file in the system32 file. I changed the name of the userinit.exe file in the system32 to userinit.old and found an unaffected file in my SoftwareDistribution folder, placing a copy of that one in the system32/dllcache folder and a copy in the system32 folder. My antivirus software then removed the userinit.old.exe and that removed the virus. I also got my wireless internet working once that virus was removed and did a panda active scan. so here are the logs for malwarebytes, panda active scan, smitfraud, and the new hijack log respectively. I also updated to service pack 3 for windows xp. I hope this hasnt messed anything up. If you dont mind looking can you let me know if everything looks good. Thank you for your help.

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please download JavaRa and unzip it to your desktop.
***Please close any instances of Internet Explorer (or other web browser) before continuing!***

• Double-click on JavaRa.exe to start the program.
  
• From the drop-down menu, choose English and click on Select.
  
• JavaRa will open; click on Remove Older Versions to remove the older versions of Java installed on your computer.
  
• Click Yes when prompted. When JavaRa is done, a notice will appear that a logfile has been produced. Click OK.
  
• A logfile will pop up. Please save it to a convenient location.

DO NOT reinstall any version of Java right now, we can do that later on.
Then RESTART your computer

• Double-click OTMoveIt3.exe to run it.
  
• While connected to the Internet, Click on the green CleanUp! button and it will populate a list of items to clean from your system that we used or may have used.
  
• It should ask if you want to clean up, select Yes and allow the system to clean up these items.

• Start MalwareBytes AntiMalware
  
  • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    
  • Select the Update tab
    
  • Click Update
• When the update is complete, select the Scanner tab
  
• Select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When completed, a log will open in Notepad. please copy and paste the log into your next reply
  
  • If you accidently close it, the log file is saved here and will be named like this:

Then RESTART your computer again and AFTER the restart run HJT scan and save log.

Okay I removed the java and saved the log. I had problems downloading OTMoveIT3 my antivirus kept coming up with a backdoor trojan when it was almost completely downloaded. I disabled the antivirus and it completely downloaded. I ran the program and cleanup it asked if i wanted to cleanup and reboot. I said yes for both of them. The computer rebooted but no log was created that I know of and it didnt ask me to save a log. The program was off of my desktop as well..??? Is it suppose to delete itself after rebooting? I updated MBAM and ran and rebooted to also create a new HJT log.

Just to make sure, please try running this AntiVirus tool while I'm away to see if it can locate anything else that might be hidden.

Download to the desktop: Dr.Web CureIt

• Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
  
• This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
  
• Once the short scan has finished, Click Options > Change settings
  
• Choose the "Scan"-tab, remove the mark at "Heuristic analysis".
  
• Back at the main window, mark the drives that you want to scan.
  
• Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
  
• Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
  
• Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
  
• When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
  
  If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable as you'll see in next image:
  
  This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
  
• After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
  
• Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
  
• Close Dr.Web Cureit.
  
• Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
  
• After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web you saved previously in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.

Then run this again

[indent]At this time your system appears to be clean. Nothing else in the logs indicates that you are still infected.
Now that you appear to be clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

Disable and Enable System Restore-WINDOWS XP
This is a good time to clear your existing system restore points and establish a new clean restore point:

Turn off System Restore

• On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
  
• Click Properties.
  
• Click the System Restore tab.
  
• Check Turn off System Restore.
  
• Click Apply, and then click OK.
  
• Reboot.

Turn ON System Restore

• On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
  
• Click Properties.
  
• Click the System Restore tab.
  
• UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
  
• Click Apply, and then click OK.

This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.

The windows firewall is not sufficient to protect your system. It doesn't monitor outgoing traffic and this is a must.
