I keep a copy of the Eicar test file on my system drive to verify that malware scanners detect and report this correctly. All the others do, but not MBAM. Is this too simple or irrelevant?

Too irrelevant. Would you rather us spend time detecting fake files or real malware
. I prefer real malware, but that is just my opinion. All sarcasm aside, it is just not worth the time to add all of these fake detection files.

Eicar test works for me, before it downloads to the drive! MBAM blocks it real fast.... If you have it on the drive? thats why it might not work? I would just skip it like Marcin said above...

Hi Marcin. I suppose you are right. After all, it took me more than a month to realize that something was missing.
Awfully quiet....
