It can yes, but it is not that kind of solution. Doing so does not actually reinstall or restore the programs to their previous state. What you you are referring to is an imaging program that clones your hard drive to a backup source in case of a hardware or software issue. You may wish to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8 as they come with that built in or use a free product like Macrium Reflect Free. Malwarebytes' secure backup is intended to store your important files off site that way you always have them as they are stored on reliable backup servers. It is not intended to reinstall or restore programs. Likely it won't work due to permission issues or the programs may not work at all as it doesn't backup the registry.
