I'm attempting to fix my sister's laptop. It's Windows XP Media Center Edition (SP3). One of her friends apparently clicked on a pop-up ad that informed her that she had spyware, it said "Click here to scan," so naturally she did. I think Malwarebytes took a chunk of them out, but obviously not all of them. There currently is one that has disabled my access to the Desktop Background settings.
