I have had multiple infections of Deepdive malware. I will get clean scans and then another one will reappear.

I still have the following registry key, which I believe is malware:

This key *may be a part of a legitimate program as well, but in your case, it's indeed set by Deepdive, so it has to be deleted.

Open notepad and copy and paste next present in the quotebox below in it:
(don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4)


Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
It should look like this:
Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.

Then, to delete some orphaned keys...

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

BTW, please also remove the folder C:\Program Files\Shared (ONLY when present in your Program Files folder and if empty or contains only a few files, because Shared folders may also be created by other (P2P)programs. In this case, Deepdive creates a Shared folder as well.

I was able to remove the registry key and all the other files. I also had the Trojan.BHO infection which was removed prior to the Deepdive. I don't know if my computer is safe or I should reformat the hard drive.

The malware you were dealing with was actually nothing critical in general. It was just adware.
It should be clean now.
