THUGGY
Ok my pc is doing so many different odd things i dont know where to start......

It all started with my NOD32 antivirus not working anymore. It said it could not access the kernel, something t that nature. And another odd thing i noticed right away too was that my sound all seems to be disabled from my computer now too as if it is not going off my soundcard or drivers. All i have now are the basic sounds that i assume run off the pc. After that it has been downhill. The ironic thing is though is with all these odd things going on, i am not getting any weird screens of doom like i hear a lot, no blue screens, black screens etc and my computer is running fast and seems like its ok but i suspect not. Most all things on my pc seem to be working fine other than these anti-virus issues etc.

I have ran in safe mode and tried many other tips and tricks but none have worked. Whats happening now is when i try to install new programs I am told the administrator wont allow this even though i am the only admin on my computer and the only user on my pc. Even with adjustments to administrative tools by me i am still not getting anywhere ( i explain this more in a later paragraph). I got lucky only one time last night while in safe mode when i tried to install any new antivirus program i could. I was finally able to install panda which worked for around 45 minutes and quit. In that time i managed to get a scan done with panda which found only one issue named: ctfmon_pp.exe. It deleted it and after that it quit working so i disconnected from the internet again and uninstalled it and decided to start from square one. I have also tried to go into administrative tools and adjust the settings but even when i set them back to "automatic" etc i still have no luck

I also suspect something is fishy because my task manager will not show me the user names for processes (and yes i have the "show processes from all users" checked off. So even in safe mode i am not seeming to have luck getting anything done as well sad.gif

And i cant even enable my firewall as those settings have been altered in admin tools as well and even if i change them back to automatic, i have no luck. So my fear is that a bunch of settings are all changed around in admin tools now too and i dont know what the normal default settings should be so i am praying if we solve this issue maybe there is a site i can go too that lets me know what most settings should be in xp??

I also am not using the internet now it is unplugged from that computer and im on my relatives. I currently have no antivirus program installed, but i do have trials of NOD32 and AVG that i downloaded and burnt from another good computer and they are ready to use, but when put them in my dvd drive and try to install i am given that message: "the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." And no matter what setting i go back and adjust i cannot install. I am positive that i have some bad spyware or viruses on my pc but they seem to finding ways to hide very well by the looks of things. I have ran malwarebytes many times and it is not finding anything. I also ran superantispyware and it doesnt seem to find anything either. My biggest fear is that now i cant install anything else to my computer since that admin message will come up. But i am willing to try anything and i am begging for your help. Here is the latest hijackthis log (this one and i have no need to post the malware one i assume since it didnt find anything?? Let me know though and i can add it after if needed:

Please try to run the following. If you can't run form Normal mode then try Safe mode.

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved and renamed following this process directly to your desktop**
  1. If you are using Firefox, make sure that your download settings are as follows:
    • Tools->Options->Main tab
    • Set to "Always ask me where to Save the files".
  2. During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix as follows:

  3. It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.
  4. Please do not rename Combofix to other names, but only to the one indicated.
  5. Close any open browsers.
  6. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
    -----------------------------------------------------------

    • Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
    • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
      -----------------------------------------------------------

    • Close any open browsers.
    • WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
    • Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
    • If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.

    -----------------------------------------------------------
  7. Double click on combo-Fix.exe & follow the prompts.
  8. When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  9. Please post the "C:\Combo-Fix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.

**Note: Do not mouseclick combo-fix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**

If you still cannot get this to run, try booting into Safe Mode, and run it there.

To boot into Safe Mode, tap F8 after BIOS, and just before the Windows logo appears. A list of options will appear, select "Safe Mode."

If this doesn't work either, try the same method (above method), but name Combofix.exe to iexplore.exe instead, or winlogon.exe..
This because It also happens in some cases that malware blocks EVERY process except for what is in its own whitelist, so this whitelist also includes system important processes such as iexplore.exe, explorer.exe, winlogon.exe...

ok i am going to do it now and thanks. I was wondering if it is ok for me to download this from my non infected computer and then add combofix to my infected, but i will do it from my infected from now unless you specify otherwise. Thanks
THUGGY
Ok i ran combofix and hijackthis and the logs are below. The only weird thing that happened while running comboxfix was that when it was finished and was preparing the log file, in the blue command window it said

"do not run any programs until combofix has finished

the system cannot find the file specified"

I assume that isnt a problem since it still made the log file but let me know if it was a problem. I also did add the combofix.exe file to my computer via disc since i was worried to go onto the internet and get the file since my infected system currently has no antivirus program that will run since these viruses entered. I hope that was ok. I still followed all your instructions, just that i added the combofix file via a disc file rather than from the net. I also noticed something weird a few days ago that i forgot to mention in my prior post that may be of interest or not. I noticed that when i tried to run a trial version of avira antivirusa few days ago my computer seemed to be acting and thinking as if it was in safe mode even when i was not and therefor avira would not run correctly. Just thought maybe this was part of the malware and figured i would mention it but maybe it it isnt important.

Here are the logs:

The scan will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave your desktop disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore the desktop. Even when ComboFix appears to be doing nothing, look at your Drive light. If it is flashing, Combofix is still at work.

THUGGY
ok advanced i am about to start doing what you asked, but i have a few questions. I am currently replying from my mothers laptop since i have no internet anabled on my computer due to the fact i have no proper running antivirus software since this infestation occurred. Do you suggest i connect the internet to my infected pc to download combofix and the malwarebytes update even though i have no running antivirus to protect me, or should i dl from this clean pc and add onto my infected pc? If it is ok to dl combofix and the malwarebytes update from thsi clean pc and transfer over to my infected via a burned disc, do you have a quick link for me to download the latest virus databse file for malwarebytes that i can add to my malwarebytes on my infected pc?? And where do i add that file to in the malwarebytes folder on my infected pc?
THUGGY
my last update was september 9th for malwarebytes so i am going to attempt to follow your prior instructions with combofix etc and but run malwarebytes without an update until you respond, i hope thats ok. If not i can always run malwarebytes again after. the info you have requested is on its way smile.gif
AdvancedSetup
No, the best thing to do if you can is to download MBAM 1.41 and Combofix and Avira on your Mom's laptop and burn them to CD if you can.
If you can't then disconnect your Mom's PC from the network and connect your computer and try to download them.

Yes you need to have Anti-Virus installed and updated and do a scan.
THUGGY
ok i have an update before i send the new logs back

combofix just finished and rebooted my pc. Upon rebooting while combofix is still running i have received a system message that "The recycle bin C:\ is corrupted. Do you want to empty the recycle bin for this drive?"

I have not pressed anything and am waiting for combofix to finish. If you have any info on how i should proceed with that recycle message, let me know and thanks smile.gif
THUGGY
also if i use mbam latest version as you suggested, do i still need to do an update on my infected pc?
THUGGY
update:

combofix did not open up a new log as you had said it should. I have a feeling that recycle bin thing may have disrupted something>> So i have no log.....
THUGGY
sorry on the pile of posts here but i just want to make sure i dont do anything wrong here either. You had said

"Important: Have no other programs running. Your Task Bar should be clear of any program entries including your Browser."

Now you only meant programs as in things like antivirus programs games etc in other words have no programs running except for the system programs that i have no control over, correct?? I am assuming you didnt want me to shut down critical system programs that are running in the task manager?? Of course i didnt stop those but i want to make sure you meant that.
AdvancedSetup
Well how is the computer running now?

Is it still acting like it's infected? Can you please post the most recent MBAM log.

Did you get Anti-Virus installed and running?

THUGGY
seems better i was waiting to install the anti virus again until you responded but i will do that now and report back. I did however run a scan with malwarebytes and nothing was detected, but i dont know what i should do about the recycle bin error. Do i select yes??
THUGGY
hmm i have a new issue. Avira wants me to connect to the internet in order to complete the setup. I plugged my internet back into my computer and nothing is happening... i am not getting any connection to the internet is what it seems

in other words, i normally have a small icon appearing in my lower task bar showing me the net is connecting but i see nothing. I then went to my control panel so try to repair a connection myself etc and there are no icons in the network connections window anymore...

any other suggestions about connecting to the internet? I am running windows xp btw.

Im baffled now..... sad.gif
THUGGY
oh and if i try to install certain programs using windows installer i am told that the system administrator has set policies to prevent installation. I have never canged any policies and i am the only admin and user of that pc. I noticed that issue right after my pc was infected and it seems it still is?
THUGGY
avira wants me to connect to the internet to setup. I now have no internet connection i am thinking is it to do with that command line reset of my IP???
So now i cant get a connection to my infected pc therefore i cant install avira. I tried to also install a free trial version of NOD32 but when i try to install it i get that system admin message so i am really stumped now. I dont know what i am supposed to do?????
THUGGY
heres my most recent hijackthis log if that helps at all, but at this point i have nothing else i can do. I am hoping you can help me with the internet issue and also with that system admin message i get when using windows installer sometimes? Windows installer worked when i installed the latest malwarebytes but seems to give me the system admin message other times for other installs.......

hmmmmm if i look in msconfig and check under services, it is showing ALL microsoft services as stopped except for maybe 1. Is this normal?? I had noticed this earlier today too but i didnt pay much attention at that point. Is this the problem with my network connecting and things like my sound being gone etc?? It seems odd that pretty well every single service is stopped since i havent disabled anything. I need some help here soon please sad.gif
THUGGY
ok heres another update, please READ ALL posts above before this one. I may have found the culprit for all my services being stopped but i wont change anything until you instruct me to. Ok when i check in msconfig and check the general tab, my computer is for some reason set for selective startup instead of normal. And under selective services load system services and load startup items are disabled and i have not touched anything in there at all. Should i set my pc back to normal startup or what do you suggest??
THUGGY
in msconfig general tab under selective startup it is also set to load a modified boot.ini instead of original boot.ini

so i will wait for your reply before i change anything but i am thinking this infection is the culprit and i sure hope we caught it and maybe its just a matter of me changing these settings back???
THUGGY
I really need some assistance on these last questions but advancedsetup is away sad.gif

Any admin response here would be greatly appreciated and sorry on the additional posts but i am certain they were necessary and useful.
THUGGY
update

i read a few other articles and realized my startup automatically changes to selective as soon as i manually decide to alter a service or startup item myself therefor that isnt the infection problem, my apologies. But i am still sitting here with an internet connection issue and an admin message issue that is preventing me from installing and running any antivirus programs sad.gif please help
THUGGY
ok after some more reading on different topics i checked something that is probably the reason i am having issues connecting to the internet with my infected pc. It must be to do with noticing that many of my services seem to be stopped on xp, including windows firewall and internet connection sharing. It seems that my firewall and internet connection sharing is not started up in services??? It is set to start automatically and i have never changed anything with that yet it is stopped. So i will wait for advancedsetup to get back before i touch or do anything but it seems i have a bunch of settings and things changed on my pc that the infection must have altered. I hope i can have some assistance soon and thanks for your time smile.gif

P.S. - i figured out with reading that i have a modified boot.ini because i have the option to use recovery console or normal xp at startup so that wasnt an issue. Nothing has been change or altered i left it as it was smile.gif

I wont make any more posts until i receive a reply. I apologize for the extra posts but im just sitting here hoping we can get my pc back to normal so i got nervous after the last work we did when nothing changed. I know you are all very busy so i am sorry about the extra posts, i was just trying to be more helpful with what i am noticing.
AdvancedSetup
Please run MSCONFIG and set it to NORMAL STARTUP and reboot the computer.
After the reboot run MSCONFIG again and go to the SERVICES tab and make sure ENABLE ALL is selected if not select it and reboot again.
After the reboot run MSCONFIG one more time and verify that on the General tab it is set to NORMAL STARTUP if not then select it again and reboot again.

Then I NEED those logs to see what else is going on.

Thanks
THUGGY
ok i did what you said and started in normal mode but i dont see any difference. Pretty well every single window service is still stopped and I still cant enable firewall and internet connectivity etc. But i am confused, do i run combofix again without uninstalling it first and then reinstalling??

And if i should uninstall it first can you post me the info on exactly what to run to make sure i delete all of it please smile.gif

Other than that i cant do much more until i can get my firewall and internet access back but i dont want to rerun combofix until i know if i should delete all the old files first etc. Let me know and thanks. Also like i had said in my mail to you, combofix does have some names in the quarantine file from my last scan. Any chance that would help you out? And is there anything else we cna do or install and run until we figure out these issues?? I will await your reply
THUGGY
P.S. all windows services were set to enabled upon reboot, but they were pretty well all showing stopped still sad.gif

Ok advanced i have a new combofix log on its way but please read this info first so that you cna direct me on this. I had mailed you to see if i was supposed to just run a normal combofix or add those prior things such as the cfscript etc again but yu did not reply so i just went ahead and did the normal run. Also I had posted earlier that my computer was set to run in selective mode and you had told me to run it back in normal mode. I have a feeling my system was running in selective mode for this reason:

In the boot for selective startup, i had the windows recovery console and normal startup. When my pc was runnning in selective and we ran combofix yesterday, combofix recognized that i had the windows recovery installed and did not alert in the logs that i did not. Now that we changed my startup to normal, combofix alerted me today that i dont have the recovery console installed and prompted me to do so. i could not download it again because i cant get a connection on my infected pc so i selected no. Combofix ran fine and produced a log but it alerted in this new log that windows recovery is not installed but like i said i am certain it is installed so let me know what i should do about that. Maybe its not an issue right now, but i do need you to direct me on that.

Ok here are my new logs of combofix, malwarebytes, and hijackthis. Please make sure to let me know exactly what you want me to do more clearly in the future so i know exactly what to do and thanks smile.gif

THUGGY
ok advanced i am going to start working on it in about an hour from now. I will post back as fast as possible and thanks !!!
AdvancedSetup
Okay well I'll check back some time tomorrow afternoon.
THUGGY
hey advanced. I have encountered an issue along the way with your last instructions. When i get to this procedure:

QUOTE
Please download and run the following fix from Microsoft How do I restore security settings to the default settings?
When completed please MAKE SURE to reboot your computer.

the file you had me download opens by default using microsoft windows installer. So as soon as i try to install it i am given that same message : the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. It seems i am only having issues most times installing files etc that open as a .msi file extension. But there was an option to use that file or manually apply the fix so i did it manually
THUGGY
UPDATE

I ended up looking on the microsoft website and there was an option to do that "fixit program" manually. So i applied the fix to restore security settings but this part kinda confused me on the fixit website page:

QUOTE
Next steps After you run this Microsoft Fix it (or complete these manual steps), standard user accounts may no longer appear on the log on screen when you start your computer or try to switch users. This occurs because standard user accounts are removed from the Users group when you reset Windows security settings. To add the affected users accounts back to the Users group, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then All Programs. Or click Programs.
2. Click Accessories, and then click Command Prompt (Windows XP). Or right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run As Administrator (Windows Vista).
3. In the Command Prompt window, type net users and then press ENTER. A list of user accounts is displayed.
4. For each accountname listed in the Command Prompt that is missing from the log on or switch user screen, type the following command and then press ENTER:

net localgroup users accountname /add
5. Now go to the "Did this fix the problem?" section.

Ok so i typed in "net users" and here is what appeared on the command prompt screen:

User accounts for \\

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Administrator ASPNET Guest
Help Assistant Murry Support_388945a0
The command completed with one or more errors.

I saw this and went hmmmmm. Who is this guest admin, and why does it say I am a help assistant? Now i am the only person (Murry) who has an account on my computer and i am the only one who should have admin privelidges, but it looks as if i am set to help assistant and ASPNET who i have no clue who or what that is, is the admin. So i am not sure what that info means but it seems the fixes havent yet at this point restored me to admin.

I will wait for further instructions and i hope we can fix this. I think we are getting close????
THUGGY
my bad, i just realized you will still need those logs and info so i am getting them right now.

THUGGY
Ok here are the logs and i also had something happen yesterday while i was trying to enable a setting of some sort on my pc ( i cant remember which one unfortunately lol ) I got a system message that told me something like " you cannot perform this action while in fail-safe mode. Then i remember getting another message kind of like that when i tried to enable another security setting that said i cant do an action while in safe mode...... I found this very, very weird.

Is this infection somehow making the computer think i am still in safe mode when im not or maybe its some type of error?? I thought i should tell you that since it may help you in figuring out whats going on. Now when i got these messages i was in no way in safe mode so its weird. And that would also make sense because a pile of my services, sound cards, etc all being disabled kind of sounds like how a pc runs in safe mode. So maybe somehow my pc looks as if it is running in normal mode but is not??? Anyways, here are the logs and info as requested

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...ost&id=7156
http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...ost&id=7155

and here is the Myservices information that you requested i paste in this reply

Now close the document and close all other open applications and double-click on that RESETSERVICES.REG file on your desktop and select YES to allow it to merge into the Registry. Then shut down the computer and restart it.

Then let me know how the services are working.
THUGGY
i merged those values into the registry as you requested and rebooted but unfortunately my pc is running the same as before. I still have many essential services stopped such as windows firewall, internet connecting etc and if i try to manually start them i am restricted. My task manager is also still not showing what user is running processes whether i have "show processes from users" checked or unchecked. I also still have no sound on my pc etc. sad.gif

Anything further you can help me with i will do. I just pray we can solve this mystery sad.gif

UPDATE

ok this morning i had posted about how i had a weird safe mode message come up when i tried to start a local service manually. I now remembered what it was and i am hoping it is of some assistance to you:

I had tried manually the other day to start back up the windows firewall and network connection service. Upon doing so i got a message that it could not start because other dependent services were stopped. I found the dependent service which is called "Network Connections" and tried to start it as always in normal mode..... This was the message i got:

Could not start the Network Connections service on Local Computer

Error 1084: This service cannot be started in safe mode

Why does the system think i am in safe mode???? I am baffled lol.

P.S. - i also noticed today that i have a process running in my task manager that i havent seen before. Its supposedly a windows service, but i dont know why its running. Its called: unsecapp.exe

I also have a few services running when i checked msconfig today that i havent seen running before. They are called:

Remote Procedure call (RPC) Locator ** it is stopped
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) ** it is running

I am sure that is nothing important but i figured since i noticed it i would post it.
THUGGY
anything else i need to do Advanced?
AdvancedSetup
Well it's up to you. The system appears to have sustained quite a bit of damage from something. We can continue to work on it and see if we can repair it but no guarantee of that, or you can take a look at backing up your data and re-installing Windows.

Let me know what direction you'd like to go please.
AdvancedSetup
Please let me know what you'd like to do.
THUGGY
well we can keep trying im ok with that, but in case i do decide to reformat and reinstall my windows xp pro, do you know a website i can use for quick reference that gives the steps on what to all do for reformatting, reinstalling etc so i dont forget to do certain things?? That would help a lot !!!

Also i have a feeling this info may be important to you. Ok i had been talking about the situation where i keep thinking my pc is running in normal mode but maybe somehow thinks i am in safe mode without showing the normal screen etc you get when in safe mode. More and more i am thinking we have some strange error that entails this. Ok i had mentioned in prior posts that when i try to enable firewall, internet etc in normal mode i seem to have issues and even messages stating "you cannot do this in safe mode."

Now, if i actually do try to start my pc in safe mode WITH networking, i now encounter none of these issues.... In other words, when i am in safe mode with networking, i have no blocking of the internet or firewall etc. So its as if my pc thinks i am running in safe mode WITHOUT networking even when im in normal mode. If you think this could be a virus casuing this and if you think maybe my theory is somewhat true, maybe we can run some more tests scans etc to test this?? It seems plausible because my computer is showing many signs of safe mode with no networking while im in normal mode:

no sound enabled
no network connection available
many system and user functions disabled
icons are all set smaller on screen
task manager showing less info and processes running

From what i have read on my own over the last week, it seems that my pc is somehow tricked into believing i am in safe mode when im not??

So yah i am ready to run any more scans etc you would like me to do and if all else fails, i will have to reinstall. But i wont give up just yet if you wont !!!!
AdvancedSetup
Yes it's quite possible that it could be but you should still see that information that it's in safe mode.

Let me check some stuff and get back to you.
THUGGY
no prob and thanks for sticking with me on this Advanced !! I didnt have access to a good, running pc the last few days but now i have a good pc on me and i will for the next 48 hours so if we can find anything else out within 48 hours, i can be around a lot to reply fast to you smile.gif
THUGGY
Hoping for a reply please??? I only have this other pc for so long to be able to communicate on the internet so i am begging for some assistance if possible sad.gif
AdvancedSetup
Well sorry but I've been sick.

Please click on START - RUN and type in NOTEPAD C:\BOOT.INI and hit OK. Then copy/paste that back here.

Then start the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and run the following scanner.

Important!
All of the following instructions must be run on the affected computer. Logs from a different computer will not help me help you. So, if you need to download all of this and then copy it to CD or memory stick and take it to the other computer, please do so. Either way, it's important. The logs have to be made by the computer with the problem.

I also need for you to download this program OTL.exe to your desktop.
  • Close all applications and windows so that you have nothing open and are at your Desktop
  • Double-click on the OTListIt.exe file to start OTListIt. OK any warning about running OTListIt.
  • Place a checkmark in the "Scan All Users" checkbox (Leave the 'Use Whitelist' checked' and the 'File Age:' at 30 days)
  • Click the Run Scan button
  • NOTE: Please be patient and let the scan run without using the computer
  • When the scan is complete, a text file (OTListIt.Txt) will open in Notepad (if not, it can be found on your Desktop)
  • In Notepad, click Edit, Select all then Edit, Copy
  • Reply to this topic, click in the topic reply window, and press Ctrl+V to paste the log or Righ click paste.
  • Submit your reply and close the Notepad window with OTList.txt
  • Also OTListIt's Extras.txt log file will be minimized in the Taskbar (and located on your Desktop) - click on this and maximize the window
  • In Notepad, click Edit, Select all then Edit, Copy
  • Reply to this topic again, click in the topic reply window, and press Ctrl+V to paste the extras log or Right click paste.
  • NOTE: If the files (OTListIt.txt, Extras.txt) do not appear in your taskbar, just open the files in notepad from your desktop.

Please allow me time to analyze your post. If you don't see a reply from me after 48 hours, feel free to PM me.

THUGGY
Hey Advanced, i am sorry to hear you are sick. I hope you feel better soon and i hope i didnt seem pushy in my post, i was just worried i wouldnt have access to this good computer for much longer but i have a few more days still.

Ok you had posted "Then start the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and run the following scanner."

I dont know which scanner you meant, i think you may have left it out of your post?? I saw the OTL.exe but i think you wanted me to run a certain scanner too. If you could post the scanner link in your next profile that would be great and thanks smile.gif

Also If i still have issues with the internet while in safe mode is there a way to download the scanner and copy it over to my infected pc??

However maybe you meant the scanner is the OTL.exe so i will just post the boot.ini info and the OTL info asap for now smile.gif
THUGGY
NOTE **There is no Whitelist option but there is something called "Use Company Name Whitelist" and it appears under the 30 days option. I need to know if i check this one or not?

NOTE ** I also forgot to ask you if it is ok for me to run this scan in normal mode?? I figured you maybe only asked me to run in safe mode with networking if you thought i was going to download the OTL exe from my pc?? So since i transferred the exe over via a CD i am assuming i could run this exe in normal mode?

NOTE*** Also the exe is not creating am Extras.txt file. The only file created after the scan is called OTL.txt and the prior instructions say i should have the files OTListIt and Extras so i am a bit confused. And I double checked 3 times and did a search for the Extras.txt one and it is not created. Are you sure this program always makes an Extras notepad file?? If so maybe something isnt working?? Just let me know if this is important or not. I am 100% sure the Extras file was not created and i ran multiple scans just to double check, hoping it would be created. No Extras or OTlistIt notepad file shows up minimized or anywhere in my computer as the instructions stated it should, only an OTL.txt file.
AdvancedSetup
I want it in the Safe with Networking to see if I can find any reason for this odd behavior. Yes you can check the white list as shown.
