Full Version: Missing NTLDR File at startup

Hello all,
I had success on my first issue I posted, so here is another one! I hope someone can help. I have a desktop which was working fine until I had it shipped to my new address. Once I received it, I attempted to start it up and got the following msg:

"Boot from CD:
Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"

When I insert the system disk, I get the following error msg:

"Boot from CD: CD Boot: Couln't find NTLDR"

Nothing happens after this. The disk I have is a SONY System Recovery CD PCV-RX740 Series CD#2 Version V61.0. I have a SONY VAIO Desktop PCV RX-741 which I bought years ago.

Any assistance with this problem as I am afraid I am going to lose everything on this computer since I cannot access even the icons at startup.

Thanks
DaChew
