I am unable to launch Mozilla- Firefox. Program has stopped working. I attempted to uninstall and this did not fix the problem. I downloaded Anti-Malware..removed several trojans. Problem persists.

Please post the log.

For your Mozilla Firefox, there could be several reasons:

1) Your McAfee blocking it (especially the firewall).
2) The Firefox userprofile corrupted, because this one remains when you uninstall Mozilla.

So, what I suggest is, please start your Computer in Windows safe mode.
°To get into the Windows Safe Mode, restart your computer and, just before Windows starts to load, tap the F8 key a few times.
Choose Safe Mode from the menu that will appear and press Enter.

Try if Mozilla launches there. If so, then It's most probably your McAfee causing the problem. McAfee doesn't run in Windows safe mode
If still the same, please uninstall Mozilla Firefox once again, but make sure it's a clean uninstall this time. See here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstall_firefox
The clean uninstall is where you check the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" during uninstall, otherwise you will still have the same problem.
Then verify afterwards that the Mozilla Firefox folder under Program Files and %userprofile% are deleted.

C:\Program files\Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla not launching in safe mode. I did uninstall and followed steps below (including deleting the program file which remained). I have installed again and Mozilla will not launch I am able to use IE..

Most important part was to delete under your userprofile.

Anyway, please uninstall Mozilla once more and do not reinstall it again for now, because I want to make sure you're doing this properly.

Please make sure you disable ALL of your Antivirus/Antispyware/Firewall before running ComboFix..This because Security Software may see some components ComboFix uses (prep.com for example) as suspicious and blocks the tool, or even deletes it. Please visit HERE if you don't know how.

Extra note: The combofix tutorial recommends to disable your Antivirus, in your case McAfee. For McAfee, I rather recommend to temporary uninstall it, because Mcafee causes a lot of problems with Combofix after reboot, this because McAfee enables again after reboot. So please temporary uninstall McAfee first, then reboot and then scan with Combofix.


Then we'll deal with it (deleting with a script so I can be sure it was done properly)
