Malwarebytes Anti Malware has placed a Run Once (or Run Once-) in my registry and it will not go away- it makes my computer try to open c\:program (which does not exist) every time I turn on the computer before it will finish loading windows. Where is the command that keeps putting it there? I've deleted it about 10 times and it keeps coming back.

Sorry to have to delete you. I like the program. I don't know why its doing the annoying thing.

Originally, Start Up Monitor kept popping up telling me that MWB wanted to open. I tried to uninstall MWB, but there was no uninstall file, so I tried to manually remove it without your direction(I had no internet at the time.) When I was back online, I reinstalled MWB and this one had the uninstall - I installed(checked it- now its trying to direct it to the non program)/uninstalled- The first thing my computer does before opening the windows desktop is tell me there is no c:\program. Still!
I would like directions to remove all parts of Malwarebytes from my registry, please. ALL the places it hides.

The reg file is in
HK_LM
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENT VERSION
RUN ONCE
Value Name- Malwarebytes' Anti malware
Value Data- C:\program

Please help! Thank You!

It is installed initially for those users that purchase the program and register it.
For those users that only use the free features it is detected on the next bootup and then if not registered it silently removes the entry and does nothing.

If it's staying there then you may have some Registry blocking tool like Tea Timer or other that is preventing it from being removed.

If you want to fully remove it then please follow these directions.

1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
2. Restart your computer (very important).
3. Download and run this utility. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe
4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).

MBAM should now be fully removed from your system.

You've got other problems with the computer. You either currently have Malware on the system or its been heavily damaged and needs to be repaired or possibly an in-place repair.

You can try the following which would be my suggesting, but its up to you.

Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green
If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.
  1. Please read and follow the instructions provided here: I'm infected - What do I do now?
  2. If needed please post your logs in a NEW topic here: Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs
  3. When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested.

  • Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.
  • Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.
  • Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
  • If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
  • Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.
  • There are often many others that require asistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review

  • NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can.
