Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware version 1.38 has been released. As this is primarily a bugfix release, if you had issues with 1.37, please let us know if 1.38 resolves them.

I just purchased a product from you and received the ref# as well as the Malware ID# and the Key Code also.But nothing comes up as to where to insert key code so as to be able to have full version of the product.
Any help from you would be much appreciated.

You will not be prompted to register, you must do so manually:
There should be an Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware icon on the desktop, double-click that to open program. If there is no icon, you can go to:
C:\Windows\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware<<<<this folder... and double click the mbam icon in that folder

Once open, there will be a series of tabs, labeled in order:
Scanner | Protection | Update | Quarantine | Logs | Ignore list | Settings | More Tools | About

Click the 'Protection' tab.

In that section will be a button labeled 'Register', click that button and you will get a new dialog box labeled 'Register Product'. Insert the ID in the first section and the key into the next.

Please make sure you are COPYING and PASTING the license key directly from the confirmation email into the proper fields. Please also make sure you are only including the letters and numbers and not the words ID or Key. Finally, make sure you are not including additional spaces before or after the ID and Key.

If done correctly you should get it registered.

Is there a page on your website that outlines the EULA for the registered version?

Specifically I would like to know if the the same license key can be used on both my desktop and laptop (or whether requires a unique license).

The reason behind this is that we offer lifetime licenses which include our RealTime Protection Module, online tech support, scheduled updates and scans as well as software upgrades. However, we do offer discounts when you purchase multiple copies.

We also feel the one time-life time fee offers the best value over many other subscription based security software that require yearly payments. Why continually pay for something which really does not change that much?

Hi;

Can you help me because I am getting tired having to many error messages in updating MBAM. When I downloaded 1.37 I did not have at least 1 good update. I mean "zero" and I had to update MBAM 1.37 manually via another pc. I was alerted that you have released 1.38. I downloaded it and installed it. Again I get the infamous error 732. When I was using 1.36 I didnt have any problems in updating MBAM with the same setup of antivirus and firewall. When I used 1.37 and now 1.38 this updating problem is so tiring.

IE is not offline and as I have said earlier I have no problems updating when I was with 1.36 with the same firewall and antivirus setup. I also tried the forum advices but did not help as well.

What will I do? When I migrated to 1.37 and 1.38 this updating problem is always there. I was better-off with 1.36 but since the updates auto-migrates or updates also the program version I am now stuck with 1.38 which I cannot update just like 1.37.

Help me out here.

I do apologize for the trouble but in almost every case it has been due to the customers Anti-Virus blocking our new version. The Anti-Malware and Virus field has become much more complicated and those writing the Malware are using more and more sophisticated methods to get onto your box and hide or disable other tools so we, along with the Anti-Virus makers, have had to step up methods to help prevent infections which has also made it more difficult to install other Security Products as well. Though by now these other Anti-Virus vendors know for a fact that we've updated our program and they could very easily do fingerprint analysis of our program and place it within their built-in Trusted Applications list, but many of them do not.

Please review this article and even if you have previously setup or done this method please try again but adapted to your version of Anti-Virus or other Security Tools. Anti-Virus is not the only tool capable of blocking either the program but also updates. Firewalls also automatically block our new version because the fingerprint does not match the previously allowed version, often not alerting because many users either don't enable that feature or they get tired of alerts and turn it off. If you review your other security programs you will probably find deep in the logs where one or more programs are blocking the newer version of MBAM.

Again, please review this post and adapt for your own security software which can be more than just AV blocking.

My guess is that it is virus related.

Please enable your firewall asap if its still off! You simply (as far as I know) need to allow MBAM to the exceptions/allowed list on your firewall.

Please i would like to know why every time i do a scan it keeps givening me the same amount of viruses 204 and i keep scaning and the same amount comes up is the scaner not cleaning or what is happening?
