Two days ago I updated Malwarebytes to 1.40. All seemed to go okay with the update but after the install my computer froze up. I couldn't close out any web pages, programs, nothing. Device manager wouldn't work to close anything either. To make a long story short, I had to start in safe mode, uninstall Malwarebytes and restart to get everything running again. If I reinstalled the program it will work as long as I don't update it. This same problem happened on Win XP Pro 32 and 64 bit systems. I have 6 PC's and all run Malwarebytes but all experienced this problem. I use Avast antivirus and have never had anything like this happen before. Any suggestions on what to try?
