Hi, today I had a popup while surfing with FF, I know it was one of those dangerous ones, that infest your PC. I could click either "Ok" or "Cancel", but I just killed Firefox with help of the task manager, but looks like it was too late. Aftre some minutes my PC restarted on its own. After that I could not access my email client (The Bat!) anymore. Every time I launch it crashes because of "Themida" - a software used to for code protection. Any program that uses Themida crashes upon launch. I also noticed I could not start any anti-spyware program, I managed to do so only after disabling 5 or 6 hidden devices in the device manager.

Older version of Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware found about 20 infections, after update it found 10 more, now it keeps finding 2.

I still can't access any program protected with "Themida", which is my main aim.

Sorry for delayed response. Forums have been really busy. If you still need help with this do following, please.


Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.

• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

When I launch dds.scr, I get a pop-up message, here's the content:

Hi,

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.
Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.
A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
Post the contents of exehelperlog.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com, and should open at the end of the scan)
Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).

See if you're able to run DDS now.

I still get the same error message when launching dds.scr though.

Let's see if you have better luck with other tool.

• Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
• Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized, if not you'll find it in c:\rsit folder)
