I am plagued with following pop-up:
Threat Detected C:\WINDOWS\system32|mmchost.dll
File Name: Trojan Horse Generic 11.NWD
Detected on open.

Boxes offer to heal, move to vault, ignore etc. (this is an AVG warning "Resident Shield alert")
It is accompanied by sounds and other nuisances.

I ran AVG and that didn't help.
malwarebytes had, I thought, gotten rid of the infections (there were a lot initially) But this stubborn one keeps popping up - often while running the scan. My initial scan was of course, the thorough one; now I keep running the quick scan.
Once the scan said everything was okay, yet the "alert" popped up.
Help! Please!

thanks

I have determined the cause - not the solution. It's a file called xdufytw.sys
