I am guessing I picked up some junk somewhere along the line (probably quite a bit actually). I have been using Spybot S&D for the last 12 or so years, but I have just lately been getting the following message on startup: "Windows cannot find ‘C:\ProgramFiles\NOS\bin\GetPlus_HelperSvc.exe’ Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search."

I purchased and ran MBAM yesterday hoping that this would get rid of that as well as speed my boot time by finding a lot of junk. MBAM did find 4 adware files and I deleted them, but my boot time is only slightly better and I still get a message when trying to boot up that the file mentioned in the previous paragraph cannot be found.

I am not positive if I am posting this in the proper forum so redirect me if needed. Thanks for any assistance that can be offered.

Log looks fine (as in no malware) , you can tell HijackThis to fix these two traces (you will have to tell teatimer to allow then changes) . This should get rid of the error .

As for speed , you can try the following .

Remove AVG and replace with Antivir (lighter from my experiance)
Remove all AOL from add remove programs (if you dont use it)
Replace YIM with a multi-IM tool that only loads on demand (I have found that YIM seems to load very slowly) I use pidgin

You can also use Spybot (in advanced mode) to show you what 04 lines can be disabled and right from SpyBot disable them (easy to reverse if you want to undo them) .

Thanks for your assistance. The 02 is gone but the 04 keeps coming back everytime I restart (I tried the fix with teatimer disabled). Disabling that line in the advanced mode of Spybot doesn't stop it either.

You double posted and I suggest you post in the PC Help forum, as this is not an MBAM issue but someone might be able to help you there.
