Full Version: DNS keeps changing

I was really tired (and stupid) and downloaded a file from an unknown source.
I actully started the install, and tried to stop it when it revealed it was something else, but it was too late.

Now the DNS keeps reverting to an 85.xxx... number (I'm not at home now, working from memory).
This happens even when I manually change the DNS.

Malwarebytes scan finds 3 registry changes, fixes them, then asks to reboot.
Afterward, when I scan again, they are back.

I ran scans with Norton Internet Security & Spybot Search & Destroy. Both found nothing
Running online Kaspersky scan now, Trend Micro online scan to follow if Kaspersky finds nothing.

Where do I go from here?

Thanks!

(P.S. - I guess stupidity IS painful)

Thanks for the reply.

I've probably already screwed up.
I already deleted files on the d: (backup) drive that I knew were bogus.
