Hello,

Does anyone knows what heuristics.malware is? First thing mbam found ever since I have it wich is about a good 3 months now..

Thanx a lot !!
Maurice Naggar
Hello,

The term heuristic refers to a technique of finding malware and not to the type of malware itself.
The technique is based on observing the behavior of the suspect malware, or perhaps even the pattern of what it does.

What item did MBAM flag?
Istvan
Well, unfortunately I don't have the scan log any more, but I can show u what I have in my vault..

Thank you in advance smile.gif

That file is a temp file and now in quarantine. Go back to MBAM's Qyarantine Tab.
Press on the DELETE ALL button and Exit.
btw, the MBAM log will be in the Tab named "Logs" (one tab to the right of Quarantine as you look at MBAM screen at top.

I could not find the log, because I've delete it about a week ago . This result was not from today.
Sorry about the misunderstanding huh.gif
Do you know where else to look for a deleted mbam log?
Maurice Naggar
If you have deleted a log, then that is pretty much a moot issue as far as trying to find it.
You may check the contents of the Recycle Bin; but I do doubt it being there.

If you took the standard default on MBAM setup, then the logs would be at a folder similar to this
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your-user-login-account>\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs
