RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin Does not appear in Firefox 22

Recommended Posts

I don't use that particular extension, but have you tried standard Firefox diagnostics: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_%28Firefox%29

In particular, the first step would be Mozilla Safe Mode: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Also, another good place for help is the MozillaZine user forum: http://forums.mozillazine.org/

You can also consider filing a bug report here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

(Be sure to check to be sure it hasn't already been reported.)

I believe you would be better off with VLC Player, it's Opensource, Free and Dosen't require CODECS and it will play everything that Realplayer played and more.

VLC Player 2.0.7

I can't agree more.  I have used it to capture NTSC and USB video streams as well as downloaded streams streams from YouTube and saved to disk files.

i agree 100% ... VLC beats real player hands down .

about 11 years ago i had some serious problems with getting rid of a corrupted installation of real player plus general operational problems on several machines .

i won't even go into a screwed up "subscription" account .

@ OP : is there a reason why you would need to keep/use RP (not to to promote any particular product) ?
